Chin-Chou Kuik’s Thousand Years Waiting

2010 March 7
Good Sunday morning!   I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend.  I spend yesterday cleaning my house which badly needed it.  We had actual Spring like weather…woohoo…. it smelled like Spring.  I think the temperatures reached the upper 50's.
I opened up the windows to let some of that sweet smelling air, lol.

Rubberstamp:  Thousand Years Waiting Sweet Pea Stamps

For my card today, I used this beauty, ©ching-chou kuik's Thousand Years Waiting, Plate #30 from Sweet Pea Stamps.  For these gorgeous stamps, I love to just grab my Copic markers and let my fingers pick random colors.  The beauty of these stamps has encouraged me to use color choices which I rarely use.  In this instance, the bright, bold blue and then pairing it with the teal. I even went as far as to give her some eye shadow, lol….. again, something I generally don't do.  Not because I don't like it, just never really think about it.

The base card is plain white card stock but I took some Cat's Eye pigment ink, applied it in circular motion across the card. Then I just wiped it down with a napkin. Couple of scrap card stock pieces and some Prima flowers and my card was done.

So have you played with your Sweet Pea Stamps yet? What? You don't have any? Well, whatcha' waiting for….. go hit the shop, you will not be disappointed!  Don't forget about Sweet Pea Stamps Customer Card Challenge.  Check out the Sweet Pea Stamps blog for more information.  (ooohhhh wait til you see some of the new stamps coming out….. you're going to love them).

I'm off to see what other 'to-do' item I can get done and crossed off my list :)Until next time……

Gorgeous! I love the color combo – it turned out great!  I think you and i have a lot of the same card-making habits! I have a hard time using embellishments (not that it looks like you do, but you said that recently!) and I almost never put make-up on my ladies either! :-) Traci
