We'd like to thank you again for joining in this special blog hop to Spread the Love for Jaimie!
We are so pleased to have each of you taking part and helping us to spread some love and awareness and hopefully lots and lots and lots of cards and wishes of hope for Jaimie. Below is a brief bit of info about Jaimie that you may add to your post to make everyone aware of our reasons for holding this hop and card drive.
"On October 4th, 4 teenagers armed with knives broke into a home in a small town in New Hampshire. Alone and sleeping inside were a mother and her 11 year old daughter. These 4 boys broke into this home with the intent to rob and kill anyone inside. They stabbed the mom, Kimberly Cates, to death and left her daughter, Jaimie, for dead in their driveway. It was a completely random act, their home was chosen only due to its secluded surroundings."
Our hope is that everyone hopping around today will stop for a moment and think about Jaimie and her father and what life must be like for them now. One moment in time has changed their lives forever. We are asking that everyone reading this message please take a moment to make a card and send it off to Jaimie. You can make something very simple or much more involved, but please share some words of hope and love and let her know that people do care and want the best for her. Thank you. It's just 2 simple words, words that can not convey how thankful we are that you are joining us in this blog hop. One card, that's all you have to do…. mail one card to a courageous young girl! Here is one of the cards I created for Jaimie, which will go out in the mail at lunch time. It was pretty tough for me to decide on a sentiment. I wanted something encouraging, yet did not want to make it condolence card. Then I thought about the fact that it doesn't matter what type of card…. the gesture is the same…. the knowledge that people care and are thinking of her ….that is what it's all about. Here is my card:

I am thinking of making another card for Jaimie. I tried hard to make this one of my better cards; the mojo wasn't there although my heart was.
