whimsical wood houses. This will be the last set for a while – promise! I’m working on a rather large canvas and while that was drying I thought I’d better pop in to share the last two of the whimsical houses made out of wood scraps. Especially since I didn’t post Monday. I got back Sunday evening from Springdale, Arkansas after spending the weekend with my BFF and
her my family. It’s hard to believe that we’ve known each other for 38 years! 38 YEARS!!!! Her family basically adopted me and saw me through all the highs and lows through the years and it makes being home kind of depressing. I still can’t believe it’s been 38 years. Roxanne even pulled out her tote of pictures from way back then, so you can imagine the memories and laughter that was shared with our kids and grandkids. Sigh!
Ok back to the other two whimsical houses. I’m not going to give any detail on how I created them because it’s so easy. Like before, used those awesome gelli prints created with my Gelli Art Printing plate, glued them onto the wood then added pieces for windows and doors and finished them off off with stenciling, doodling and rub-ons.
As you can imagine, I have a whole village by now:
Tonight I’ll be putting my “photographer” hat (if I still have one) on and taking the pictures of Gracy’s softball team. I wish now I had gone last week because the weather was perfect. Tomorrow – not so much. High humidity with a heat index of close to a 100°. And we all know how much I love the heat – NOT!
That’s it for me today. Keeping fingers crossed that the day at work is symptom free and that the wind will still be blowing tonight. Thanks for stopping – until next time, stay cool!
