Ain’t Got A Thing….
or I’m thinking it should be “Thang”. That has been the phrase rumbling around in my head this week. I tried, really tried, to come up with something fabulous for the new challenge over at The Sisterhood of Crafters. The new challenge is Easter or Spring and with Easter this Sunday, I knew I wanted to use Sweet N Sassy’s Rugged Cross.
Fabulous it is not but I finished it. And I’ve promised to share the good, the bad and the ugly when I started this blog…..so here it goes.
Been a while since I’ve colored with my Copics. I was pretty happy with they way the coloring turned out only to almost mess it all up by die-cutting too close, so I had to hand trim around the image. Then I was at a loss. I had my tray of PanPastels out which prompted me to apply some onto Neenah card stock scraps.
I love the way it looks. And that was all the creativity I was able to muster. Granted, I was working on this card in the evening and we all know that I am not very creative in the evening. My creativity strikes in the morning. I almost wasn’t going to finish the card but I really didn’t want to add another “unfinished” project to my pile of “unfinished” projects. Anyway, I popped the cut out cross onto foam mounting tape and adhered it onto the pan pasteled card stock.
You see, a plain, simple card. I look at it and know something is missing. You know that feeling that tells you this just isn’t working. Who knows! I’ve colored this image in duplicate so when I get that card making mojo back, I’m trying again. Now, for some wonderful inspiration, head over to The Sisterhood of Crafters and be inspired.
Most of all, have a blessed Easter weekend.
Until next time….
Easter sentiment is old Stampin’ Up!
