Friday! (Ugh I know, I’m so lame with my post titles!) Anyhow, happy Friday everyone!
First I want to do a shout out to a brand new grandma! Congratulations Sherry. Being a grandma is THE BEST thing in the world. And welcoming your first grandchild – well, it’s such a blessing and all those emotions. You love your kids, but the love for your grandchildren….. it far surpasses everything.
I believe the beautiful baby girl came a little early but she is BEAUTIFUL and healthy. And has the most beautiful head of dark hair!!!! Big congratulations again to Sherry and importantly to her daughter and her family. PS: I thought I had some time therefore still have the baby’s present sitting here… will go postal on Monday!
Now to my quick card. As you may know, I generally have “issues” when it comes to creating quick cards. I tend to fiddle finger around on the card and it tends to take me a lot longer than it should. I came home from work with this idea to use some of the Maya Road Vintage Kraft Flag Pins and the ‘Hello’ sentiment from the Big Greetings set.
It is a rather CAS card and it came together really quickly.
I stamped the ‘Hello’ onto a craft tag scrap and then cut the letters apart. I had originally thought to use up some of my alphabet stickers but they were all too big for the flags. I am so glad I got the Big Greetings set because the size is perfect.
In hindsight I probably should have used a different color of twine but for some reason I’m drawn to the orange colors. So, this card was created while I was cooking dinner and I’m happy to say that dinner wasn’t burned, which has happened before because I totally got lost in creating something. I’m thinking that all that art journaling and canvas art has had a positive effect on my card making skills in regards to timing.
I’m definitely entering this card over at Use Your Stuff. The current challenge (#54) is Banners – perfect :-).
So, I hope you get a chance to create a little. That’s it for me tonight….. as always…thank you for stopping by! I ? you guys.
Until next time…
