Tag Time
It’s a new challenge at The Sisterhood of Crafters with Lisa as your host and the theme for new challenge is TAGS!
I am happy to report that the mojo came back last night in order for me to play along. I tried my hand at creating a vintage baby tag using an old stamp from Stampin’ Up! which my friend Alicia had given me.
Besides using the old stamp, I also used some old epoxy stickers from DCWV as well as some old lace and button from a flea market find.
The tag was first spritzed the tag with water, then with Wild Plum color wash. After drying it thoroughly, I used Jenni Bowlin Malted Milk paint dabber to tone down the vibrancy of the Wild Plum color. After distressing the edges with Zutter’s Disterss It All, I used Vintage Photo Distress Ink to blend the distressed edges.
The tag came together rather quickly until I started messing with the lace and the button. Not really happy with it, but after an hour I decided it was what it was.
The “Sweet” is from an old Stampin’ Up! rub-on pack and was missing the “t”, which I just added using a black marker. I get nervous whenever I have to do any hand lettering, drawing or doodling because chances are that I’ll mess it up. Tonight, however, it came out ok.
I die-cut the small easel from old alpha card dividers, which is the perfect thickness. Although I will be painting the easel with the Malted Milk Paint Dabber to hide the recycle symbol – completely over looked that in my hurry to finish!

This is SWEET, Baby! Love lace and pink roses and vintage and distress. Sure didn't notice the "t" til you said something, so you did just dandy with it. The easel is NEAT-O. Do you share directions with dear friends or me? Sorry, I'm just a plain ol' groupie with enough challenges in my life that I don't entice others to play along with me. But I am so glad you shared this beauty and that my new, ridiculous name allows me to visit properly. Sweet dreams!
