Just popping in to share another card created this past weekend.
This card features ©Victoria Case’s Winter which is also part of the Winter Wonderland Collection or available as a single stamp. As you can guess, I got the whole collection from Susana’s Custom Art and Card Design back when it first came out (Fall 2009) and sadly I’m just now getting around to inking some of these cuties up. However, this collection is still available at SCACD – just sayin’ .
She’s colored with Copics and for the sentiment I used one of my old Stampin’ Up! stamps. It was really hard for me to use the bold pink. But I wanted to step outside my comfort zone. Plus I think I saw one of the challenge blogs have a “pink” challenge, let’s hope I can find it, lo. I found some old paper scraps from Love Elsie (ugh can’t remember the name) which had the bold color doodled circles so I used it as a layer. Slowly but surely I’m using up old scraps.
I’m definitely submitting to the following challenges:
Anything Goes Challenge #58: Anything Goes
Shopping Our Stash #35: Across the Border – Use a border punch
Use It Tuesday #23: All about Winter (old stash used is definitely the stamp as well as the doodled circle paper)
Crafty Cardmakers #59: No Floral Embellishments
Creative Stamp Friends #42: Winter
iCopic Challenge #65: Unloved Colors ( pinks – RV04-RV21-RV00 coat & stockings)
The Crazy Challenge: Tic Tac Toe – I went with the diagonal line – pink, image, die cut shape
That was the first time I actually played the Tic-Tac-Toe game…. .
Lots of inspiration at the challenge blogs, you should go check ‘em out!
I think I’m going to head to bed early tonight. Yesterday evening we had dinner over at the kids’ since it was my birthday. Played with the girls and had cake which I was informed by a very serious four year old, was prepared by her with mommy’s help. Gracy will be the cook in the family….she loves to help. One tradition that I think I’m going to start (even this late in the game) is to take a self portrait. Since I’m always behind the camera lens, pictures of me are few. So I thought I’d end with a couple of pics:
That’s it for me tonight. Definitely can tell I’m a year older…. this ole body needs it’s beauty rest.
Note – round sentiment is retired from Stampin’ Up!
