Some Snow Fun

Hi everyone,

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.  Mine was pretty busy with eye doctor appointment, hair cut, etc.  That took most of my Saturday up.  But Sunday, I stayed in my PJ’s and created a couple of cards and then submerged myself into my E-TEAM mission which is always lots of fun because… well, because I get really, really inky.  You’ll have to come back on Friday for the E-TEAM blog hop….. it’ll be fun!

Anyway, I pulled out some of my older stamps, in this instance, it’s Snow Fun from Victoria Case’s Winter Wonderland Collection available at Susanna’s Custom Art and Card Design:

I’m not even going to talk about my coloring….. I totally goofed up.  (Never know when to stop and then when I try to fix it….well, you get the drift.)

However, I had a couple of snowflakes left over from the last E-TEAM blog hop; Love Me Some Embellishments.  Problem was that they were covered with red glitter, which was a reason I didn’t use them on my Santa frame.  No problem, I just spritzed it with Adirondack Color Wash – Wild Plum.  The result was a deep purple…..

The white partial snowflake is made from recycled clear plastic packaging, die cut and then dabbing Snow Tex onto it.

Kind of ironic, that I’m creating winter wonderland type cards when it’s in the 60’s outside.  Weird weather.  Here’s one more look and then I’m off to work.  Yes, gotta work…. even on my birthday Sad smile.

    Ok, so I do not get what your whining about your coloring is about, as usual.   My monitor shows perfection and fabulous shading and excellent save on the flakes!
    HAPPY BIRTHDAY, slightly late!!!! Now, if I had known you were aging and had your snail mail addy, I could have made you a card just like I mailed to my baby brother today (he ages on 19th).  So, you get the blah and boring wordy version.  Front was a kinda cool distress ink background with a honeycomb stamp. It was blues and greens and browns.  I stamped a shadow elk in vintage sepia on cream and cut out a Nestie postage stamp in brown to mat it on.  It's all on a dark brown card (a2).  Inside I used cream writing paper and calligraphied a verse (yes, for the most special of special I hand letter my sentiments).  It said "whatever you're hunting for this year – deer, bear, elk, youth – I hope you're successful.  Happy 39th Birthday!"  I know- way better than Hallmark. I hope it gives him a grin.  You ever decide you want that much fun IRL, drop me an email with your addy.  I KNOW I said I was taking pictures, but the lighting wasn't great and I was mostly stamping for my Mom to send to the relatives and I have been trying to tone it down the last few years, so it wasn't anything I thought worthy of you.  I was stamping with not a jolt of genius in the output.  But ya never know what next go around might bring.  Truly hope your birthday was a wonderful day for you, Micki.
