New Challenge in the Sisterhood
Well, I’m feeling better – more functional even though I still have the cough and the congestion but at least my body isn’t aching (much) anymore. I’m really happy that I was able to complete this card, which is for Charlie. He’s the assistant production manager where I work and not only did he turn 65 on Friday, he also retired from the National Guard and will be leaving our sunshiny work environment at the first of the year. He is a sweetheart and his humor and personality have made a lot of days brighter!
So Charlie….. Happy (late) Birthday.
Although I had colored the image last week, since I didn’t get it completed before getting sick, I decided to use it for the new “Seeing Spots” challenge at The Sisterhood of Crafters which is hosted by Sister Terri.
The old man in recliner stamp is part of an awesome set called Old Age Stamp Set from Sunday International. The stamp images are relatively large which means easy & fun to color. And an opportunity to use one of the numerous 5 x 7 envelopes I got from a friend, so I made the card 4.75 x 6.75.
Added some Gloss Gel to the glasses after coloring the image with Copics.
It definitely felt great to create something, even if it did take several days .
Now are you ready to see more spots and to get some inspiration? Head over to the Sisterhood of Crafters for all the details and then grab your supplies and play along with us!
I better get ready for work and deliver this late Birthday card to Charlie, sure wish it was already 5PM and I was heading home.
Thanks for stopping by! If you’re traveling for Thanksgiving, be safe! And have a wonderful holiday!
