Now to my project….

I have to admit that I was unsure what to create … but then, even when I think I know what I’m going to create, it always ends up different.

This was my first time using the Nestaboard and Nestabling.  I was pretty nervous about the Nestabling because I ‘fat-finger’ everything and was sure that I would ruin either the bling or the board.  I must tell you, I was really impressed.  I used tweezers to lift the Nestabling off it’s sheet and starting at the bottom just worked my way around the Nestaboard laying the bling down.  The rhinestones hold their shape which really surprised me and that made it really easy.

A tip… as long as you don’t apply any pressure, like with your fingers, to the rhinestones, you can nudge them if you need to.  Then once they were in place, I used my fingers to apply pressure and voila, they are permanent.

As for the Nestaboard, I knew I would love it.  I love that it’s the shape of the die, in this case Spellbinders Labels Fourteen, which means no cutting or trimming.  The Nestaboard also creates awesome dimension and depth.

The flowers, leaves – both are regular paper – and the butterfly (grungepaper) were all remnants from various other projects which were dipped into Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel.  The grungepaper butterfly bubbled to a point where I thought I had ruined it, but I really like the texture look.

Oh and I used my sewing machine, woohoo….

Considering that I didn’t start on my project until yesterday evening (because of the mailman Sad smile) and with no firm idea of the end result, I think this card turned out ok.  What do you guys think?

But if you guys really want to be vowed, check out the rest of the girls!

The E-Team:

The Want2Scrap Team:

Thanks so much for stopping by, good luck on the blog hop and have a wonderful weekend.

Until next time….

The texture on this one is awesome!  Love the colors and the sentiment you chose. That nestabling stuff looks kinda cool, but I have a feeling it would live in the box with my sticky back canvas.  Happy Weekend from blah, boring and undimensional!

#1, I love how you told us in detail about the "Nestabling" and how you used your tweezers and how it held it's shape.  One of the reasons I don't like to buy bling that has shapes like that,  is because it's hard to transfer to the artwork, but now after reading  how it worked so well for you, I will definitely be trying the Nestabling myself.  #2, I love all the different textures on your card, there's so much to look at, it's great eye candy that's for sure.  It really turned out beautifully!  and #3, thank you for sharing and inspiring.
