Another Quick Little Red Riding Hood Card

2010 October 2

Can’t help myself,  had it all stamped ready to be colored so I just had to color her up.  She is up on the Sweet Pea Stamps DT blog today but wanted to share her with you guys here too:

She is one of the Little Red Riding Hood Series stamps from Plate #65 colored with Copics.  I found a pack of these round cards with envelopes at Michaels and decided to create a quick & simple card.  For the background I sponged on some Pearlescent Chalk which added a nice little shimmer.    I keep saying I’m going to paper piece because these stamps are ideal for that, but Copics seem to win out.  It may help if I would clean my craft room :-).

A big thank you for everyone who participated in the Sweet Pea Stamps Blog Hop.  Want to find out who won,  make sure to check out the Sweet Pea Stamps DT blog  HERE.  A big congratulations!  Can’t wait to see your creations!

I did check out some challenge blogs and found that my card follows the criteria for the following challenges:

Copic Creations #36:  Orange

Incy Wincy Designs #61:  Anything Goes

Scrappy Frogs Challenge:  Flower Power

Baby Bud Designs Challenge #1: Fall/Halloween  (fall colors used)

Stampin’ for the Weekend #48:  Autumn Inspiration (again, colors I used)

Catch The Bug Challenge:  Anything Goes

Pile It On Challenge: Cute and Charming

For Fun Challenges:  Fall – no Halloween

Easy Craft Projects Challenge #22:  Purple

Creative Card Crew:  Blooming Marvelous (Flowers)

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you guys were able to create some cards today.  I did drive to Pacific, Missouri to surround myself with some stamping friends.  The mojo isn’t quite back, nor is my stomach, but I am having fun and did color a couple of images.  This time I didn’t bring my craft room with me, but boy my friends sure did…..  I’m off to take some more medicine and see if I can get my fingers inky.  Have a wonderful weekend and as always THANK YOU for stopping by.

Micki “not quite herself” Harper

I think she is prettier over here Micki.  Love the nontraditional colors you used.
Sheesh!  You can come over to my place and clean my craft room if you want to clean so bad.  Mine has to be the worst there is.
When my craft area (space to complete a card) shrinks below the card dimensions then I clean….well, enough to lay my card back down…lol
    Thanks for sharing.
