It’s a Birthday Blog Hop at the Sisterhood

2010 August 18

Isn’t it amazing how quickly time passes?  And I am thrilled to help a fellow ‘Sister’ and friend celebrate her one year anniversary of her digital design store, Delicious Doodles

Teri is not only an awesome illustrator, she’s also a superb card maker.  Teri inspired me to create dimension to my images by cutting and layering them and coming to my rescue when I would ‘whine’, lol.  Not to mention that she has the same sense of humor as me and the rest of the gang in The Sisterhood of Crafters

This blog hop starts at The Sisterhood of Crafters!  And you must make your way around and visit each of the Sisters blogs and then back to The Sisterhood of Crafters blog to be eligible to be entered into The Sisterhood of Crafters grand prize drawing.    Here is the Blog Hop line up just in case you get lost:

Kim
Micki  – that’s me
Darlene
Boni
Tanis
Teri
Lisa
Terri
Diane
Delicious Doodles  – Teri is having Birthday Bash Freebies all week long.

But wait, I have a PRIZE too :-)

One lucky winner will receive their choice of 3 digi stamps from Delicious Doodles :-).  All you have to do is head over to Delicious Doodles and check out her digis, then come back here to let me know which digi stamp is your favorite.  You have until Tuesday, August 31st – 6PM central time.

One winner will be drawn via Random.org and will be announced here on Wednesday, September 1st.

Ok, now for my card.  I decided to use Teri’s Vintage Chevy:

I colored this cool Chevy with my Copics.  The sentiment is from Fiskars clear stamp set Twist ‘n Shout. I also used Fiskars One Way Squeeze Punch for the arrow and decided to use the negative of the cut out in the lower corner.   I dug out some old toys, i.e. my old SU stamp wheels and wheel handle to create the background.  The ribbon is attached to the arrow by regular staples.   I added the 3 gray brads to finish off the card, but now I’m thinking I should have used black brads.  They kind of blend into the background.

This Vintage Chevy was a lot of fun to color and I decided I must play with my wheels more often :-).

I hope I made sense, lol…. too much on the brain….  big hugs my friends.

Until next time….

At the moment, my favorite is Polar Bears.  All of her digis are superb, but the ones that are done in a pencil sketch style are extraordinary!!
