Now on to my card for today's blog hop :).   It features the newly released ©ching-chou kuik's Easter Ocean.

I used copics to color everything except the background (of the stamped image).  I used H2O's and a waterbrush.  Something a little different.  I also used colors that I don't generally tend to gravitate to.  If you've visited my blog before, you know that I have a hard time using a lot of embellishments.  Not that I don't love those, I do.  I just over analyze I think, lol.  However, I try :).  The DP is from the Magnolia line by My Minds Eye.

What do you think?  I wasn't too happy while I was coloring her up, but I think the card turned out ok.  Now are you ready to hop on to the next stop for more eye candy?

Your NEXT STOP ON THE BLOG HOP is  Jennifer

And please check out the beautiful Haiti relief stamp available here.   Lynette, the owner of Sweet Pea Stamps is graciously donating 50% of the proceeds to Doctors Without Borders.  It's a great way to help the people of Haiti and get a beautiful stamp!

Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you had as much fun as the DT did and that you will be inspired to share your creations with us.

Happy stamping!

Micki, this is lovely! I don't like to use a lot of embellishments either, so this is just my style. With an image as pretty and as well colored as this, a lot of embellishments would just get in the way.

Micki, it is so pretty! I think the embellishments look great! I have that same embellishment problem!! (NOT the looking great, the over analyzing, then just not using!) :-)Traci

    Cute cute card for easter.

  20. January 28, 2010

This is beautiful and such an unuasual easter card but could be used anytime , I know what you mean about embellishments, I haverecently started trying to use more and find it hard as I feel they often make the card look cluttered and detract from the image but you have the balance just right, brilliant. Thanks for sharing Julye

Micki I too struggle with embellishements. Too many, not enough, wrong color, will this work….. Your card is gorgeous. I bet the H2O background adds just the right amount of shimmer too.
