Sooo Many Possibilities—So Little Time
This will be a quick post! I’m heading out the door to the dentist and then have to take my SUV into the shop.
Like I mentioned yesterday, the weekend class with Suze was truly inspiring. Oh, the ideas that just kept popping into my head as we learned one technique after another. I do have a confession, lol. I’m sure, like everyone else, I appreciate all type of art, some more so than others. Had anyone asked me before taking this class what I thought about crafting with UTEE or beeswax and I would have replied that it wasn’t my style. Now, just because a certain technique doesn’t ……oh what’s the word I’m looking for….. ‘grab’ me, I see beauty in all types of art/crafts. Arrrgg, so hard to try to convey what I mean, lol. Let me just tell you, after learning from Suze, and then seeing all the awesome creations from the other ladies….well, all I can say is…..OMG, I’ve been missing out.

That awesome project was made with beeswax, collage prints/pictures and Pearl Ex on Stampboard and then dressed up with ribbon and trinkets. No, that’s not mine. One of the ladies in class, finished it Saturday night at home and brought both of the projects back to show us. Isn’t it beautiful? Oh and the frame started off as a wooden $1 frame, beeswax and napkin tissue. (Oh yeah, I got me some beeswax!)

I am digging out all the old CD’s that were slated for the trash, lol. We stamped onto a CD, heated it with a heat gun to be able to cut it into pieces, poured colored UTEE over it and voila!

You know how as a kid you were fascinated with the cotton candy machine? Well, I was. Even now, I still am fascinated everytime I emboss, the way the embossing powder melts.
You can imagine how fascinated all of us were when we melted colored Utee and mixed the colors. Poured it into a donut form and no two are alike. It is so much fun. You should have heard the "Oohhs" and "Ahhs". Once cooled, string a ribbon and you have an instant necklace.
Rats, I’m late…. sorry gang, I’ll have to share the rest tomorrow. Go check out Suze Weinberg’s blog, where you can see all the different techniques we did.
Wish me luck at the dentist. I hate getting my teeth cleaned. Thankfully, it’s only twice a year! Until next time…..

Amazing projects! They are very inspiring and so artsy.
My brother just started up a honey bee business. Guess I should put in an order for bees wax! LOL
